Adventures - by Laurie

The adventures are happening so fast and furiously now it's hard to keep up. When you're in the midst of adventures there's little time to document them. But you'll notice that Dale and I have been doing dueling posts and I always want to have the top one--so here it is.

The fun thing about traveling is that everything is an adventure. When we get off the tram at the right place it's an adventure, and when we get off at the wrong place it's a bigger adventure. Just today in Oslo we had countless adventures: we figured out how to work the dishwasher in our airbnb apartment; walked along the harbor to find the ferry dock for our trip tomorrow and stumbled across an old fort; soaked up the Oslo sunshine (72 degrees today!) on a bench near the river; took two trams, a bus, and a public ferry; saw our first Stave Church; ate yet another Norwegian waffle...

Here are photos of a few of our adventures these last couple of days.

Dale at the Stave Church.

Our fika yesterday at the Museum of Natural History (although a fika is a Swedish coffee break with a sweet roll and we were in Norway but that's what we call any coffee break now). This beautiful monster was filled with a marshmallowy whipped cream.

Like this.

Vigeland Park.

Wow!!!
Sitting in the sun--our Oslo apartment is in one of the buildings behind us.
